Quick Video explaining how to pour from a 1 gallon rectangular bottle, or any bottle with an offset spout.

Please note:  We plan to make a video explaining this and other tips, here is one for reference till them.   Thank You

Process for Pouring from a Bottle with an Offset Spout Without Spilling

  1. Check Spout Orientation:
    • Hold the bottle so that the spout is positioned on the top side, not underneath.
    • This allows air to flow in from behind the liquid, creating a smooth, steady pour.
  2. Angle the Bottle Gently:
    • Tilt slowly to start the pour; avoid sudden tipping.
    • Agling the bottle to pour from the side,  starting with the spout up can be helpful.
    • Pouring from a platform can be helpful if the container is at the proper hieght.
  3. Watch the Flow:
    • Pour in a controlled stream, keeping the bottle steady and adjusting the angle as needed.
  4. Stop with Control:
    • As the pour nears completion, slowly return the bottle to an upright position to avoid dripping.

Key Points:

  • Spout up = smooth pour; spout down = glugging and splashes.
  • Pour slowly; sudden tilting causes air pockets and uneven flow.
  • Use a steady hand; adjust angle gradually.
  • Wipe the spout after pouring to avoid residual drips.
