Prismatic film redirects light toward useful viewing angles. Its effect depends on the light guide, diffuser, reflector and LCD. Crossed sheets can control both axes; evaluate luminance, viewing angle and moiré in the assembled display.
Define the cut outline, usable aperture, thickness, tabs, notches, corner radii and tolerances. Identify prism direction or transmission axis, structured/coated face, liner handling and a physical orientation datum. A 0° or 45° catalog reference must be tied to the drawing datum.
Use the material in a custom optical stack or evaluate it against the original film in an existing backlight. Review luminance, uniformity, viewing angle, polarization, color and temperature behavior. Repair acceptance is based on the assembled display and agreed requirements; a similar gauge or family name does not establish equivalence.
