Silicone families and enhancements

All silicone materials · Momentive silicones · Dow silicones · Optica silicones

Platinum-cure silicone enhancements — catalyst, adhesion promoters, crosslinker and retarder.

Enhancements are developed for the selected silicone and application; compatibility and final optical clarity are established by testing.

Function and formulation support

For optically clear platinum-cure silicone systems. Compatibility and final optical clarity must be verified in the complete formulation.

Helps develop bonding between the silicone and suitable prepared surfaces. Selection depends on the substrate and cure process.

Representative composition

Surface-reactive additive in a compatible silicone carrier. This describes the functional formulation concept, not an exact chemical formula or fixed recipe.

We typically dilute the enhancement into Part A or Part B of your exact silicone brand and grade. Testing determines the compatible carrier, concentration and component placement.

Evaluate adhesion on the actual substrate, together with clarity, cure and environmental durability.

Packaging and inquiry

Choose 3, 10, 25, 100 or 250 g, then add the product to your Interest List. Tell us your silicone, substrates, mix ratio and required behavior.

Development and dosage

For selected enhancement trials, our typical development range is 0.02–0.5% by weight relative to the combined A+B batch. This is an application-development range, not a universal dose for every enhancement. The instruction must identify whether the added mass refers to the supplied concentrate or a dilution. Crosslinker dosage depends on reactive-group balance; catalyst and retarder dosage depend on active concentration and the complete cure system. Volume dispensing requires measured density at a defined temperature.

We can develop a 1:1 system targeting your established off-ratio behavior, with the mass or volume basis defined and performance verified by testing.

Material validation pending. Inquiry does not confirm released stock or application qualification.

We work with a growing range of silicone materials and manufacturers. Momentive, Dow and Optica are current examples; additional materials are evaluated as development progresses.

Optical bonding of LCD, OLED and MicroLED displays

Optical bonding of LCD displays, OLED displays and MicroLED displays is a core FPD.DEV expertise. We develop silicone materials and processes around the complete display stack: cover glass, coatings, touch layers, bond-line thickness, optical performance and assembly requirements.

Material selection and formulation are evaluated for the actual display, substrates and cure process. A clear silicone alone does not establish compatibility with every display technology.

Base material and FPD.DEV enhancement development

FPD.DEV develops modified silicone formulations outside the original manufacturer’s specifications. Manufacturer data describe the unmodified base material under the stated conditions; they do not establish the performance or approval of an FPD.DEV-modified formulation.

Custom packaging alone does not change the chemistry. Additive blending, mix-ratio changes and other formulation modifications require their own identification, mixing instructions and application-specific testing. Working time, cure, adhesion, optical clarity and storage stability are established for the modified system.
