SCHOTT S8806A multibandpass glass

SCHOTT S8806A multibandpass filter glass for spectral and display contrast evaluation (tri-notch selection). 0.7 mm requested finished thickness; BBAR / AR — One Surface. Cut size, availability and fabrication confirmed by quotation.

Read the actual glass spectrum

Tri-notch is the display-selection term used here for SCHOTT multibandpass materials. The graph uses published S8806A data, not an idealized RGB curve. Multiple passbands do not guarantee a match to every LCD: compare the material with the actual RGB emission, ambient spectrum and viewing requirements.

Published reference and thickness overlays

The dashed curve is SCHOTT internal transmittance at 2.5 mm. Colored curves estimate 0.7, 1.1, 1.6, 2 and 3 mm using Ti(d) = Ti(dref)d/dref. Source: SCHOTT S8806A datasheet, 05.12.2023, sampled every 10 nm. Values between samples are connected for readability; narrow spectral structure may require finer data.

Calculated values assume homogeneous material and normal incidence. Internal transmittance excludes surface reflection and BBAR/AR effects; these curves are not finished coated-component transmission. Below-limit source samples, where present, are plotted as upper bounds. Graph thicknesses do not establish stock or fabrication availability.

Thickness and coating selection

0.7 mm is a requested custom finished thickness. Review blank size, cutting or slicing, grinding, polishing, flatness, edges and spectral tolerance for the project.

One optical surface specified for BBAR / AR treatment; identify the coated face and coating band. Coating performance is confirmed separately.

Lot tracked. Confirm material, dimensions, optical requirements and availability by quotation.
